Why should everyone get proper health check-up before and after travel?

When you are going on a big vacation or holiday to another country, it is a must to get your health checked. There are certain rules and regulations regarding entering a few countries. For example, when you are heading to Africa, you are advised to take yellow fever vaccination as a part of the visa portion in order to stay safe from any disease that might catch you while you are there.

Why get a check-up before travelling?

1. First and foremost, when you get a check-up before travelling, you will be aware about the necessary vaccinations as well as a regular report on your health. In case you plan to go on a trek, place that has cold weather or a certain place where you may have problems like joint pains, stroke, fever, flu, etc. If you aware that you have high blood pressure or your legs will not allow you to travel much, you can take precautions.

2. Other than this, you can prepare or get treatment so that you can enjoy your holiday. Once you reach the other country, you may not get the best medical help as you are just a tourist and it can be expensive too.

Why get a check after coming back?

1. To stay safe if you haven’t caught any STDs, flu from the country or any kind of stomach problem due to the different type of food, you need to get a proper health check. They are just a few regular blood samples which will keep you on the safe side.

2. With diseases spreading like Ebola, Swine Flu, and Zika Virus, you may not realize that you have caught the infection from the country you went to. It is a necessity to get your entire check done if you are even feeling slightly feverish;you should get a check-up done!

Not many of us pay attention to the fact that we need to get medical checks done before we go another country and after we return to our own country. It is just a safety and precautionary measure that should be taken.
