Health Care Tips For Winter!


Winter is the time when you are prone to cold and flu but to avoid getting sick, you can make a few changes in your daily eating and lifestyle habits. Say goodbye to doctor’s visit and antibiotics this winter season! 


 1. Drink water – During the winter time, we often skip the water and don’t feel as thirsty, but it is a must to have the optimal amount of water without fail.  Consume at least 8 to 12 glasses a day even if you aren’t thirsty.

2. Use spices – The winter time is perfect to use spices that have been lying around your kitchen for a while. Food with garlic, ginger, turmeric, and few other spices are good to keep the inside body warm. Turmeric is also a well-known spice that keeps you away from several health issues.

3. Have dry fruits – Dry fruits like almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts and dates are good for you during the winter. Since you tend to feel quite hungry during this season, it is a perfect mid-day snack which will keep you healthy and hearty throughout the cold days.

4. Omega 3 fatty acids – Although omega 3 fatty acids are good throughout the year, it is said that consumption of this supplement or salmon that contains this acid is great in winter. It reduces joint pain, stiffness and has several antioxidants, which will keep your body ache at bay.

5. Workout without fail – The body tends to get a little stiff in extremely cold weather which is why you need to work out for 20 minutes without fail every day. This will open your muscles and joints preventing any injuries or excessive ache. You can totally skip the gym and just go for a walk or run during the early afternoon. Else, you can plan a few workout ideas at home that will help you out.

6. Fruits of the season – A few fruits are only found during the winter, and you should take all the benefits of this! Have all the winter fruits once a day to get nutrition as well as to enjoy the taste.
